As evident by the crowd, ballooning is a big deal in Taiwan. This festival was a month-long and the people just kept coming day after day.
Flights were attempted 3 times per day. As expected the 11:00-12:30 PM fights rarely happened and the evening flights usually didn’t start till after sunset when the winds calmed down.
Balloon glows were scheduled on Saturday nights but if it was too windy we did a candlestick glow with the fireworks as a backdrop.
Of course none of this would be possible without ground crew. This is a slideshow of my ground crew; Abby, Bruce, Fish, Gino, Jack, and Yoyu.
