The sky on the first evening in Panguitch didn’t look very friendly for ballooning but the weekend turned out just fine with all three days flyable and the Main Street glow starting on schedule.
Media day was a little warm for some of the balloons so people had to stay low or land early. We ended up flying a sponsor from the previous year who had been weathered out of her flight and then on Saturday we flew this current year’s sponsor.
The Main Street glow was able to start early since the winds were so calm and as usual the crowds were large.
On Sunday, Ernie decided to strike out for the river drainage and we had to hit the highway to follow. He and two other balloons ended up in a field next to a farm-house north of town, the kids greatly enjoyed the tether rides we gave them in exchange for the courtesy of using the family farm for landing.
