I took this while flying with Elevated Ballooning in Jackson, WY and converted it to black and white using snapseed on my iPad. I’ll probably take another pass at it with Silver Efex Pro when we get home.

We attended the Casper, WY balloon rally last weekend then spent the week at Steamboat Lake and now we are in Craig,CO for their balloon rally.
The sky on the first evening in Panguitch didn’t look very friendly for ballooning but the weekend turned out just fine with all three days flyable and the Main Street glow starting on schedule. Today is the last day of National Park week and the last day you can take advantage of free entrance to the parks. Badlands National Park is a park you should not miss. I have more photos and stories in my early blog.
Black Canyon has limited access in the winter but even seeing a little bit of the contrasts created during a snow storm is worth the effort to get there. Another park in Colorado…
When you visit a National Park you see grand, unique landscapes. Don’t forget to slow down, stop and look closely at the details of the park. Every amazing landscape is a culmination of smaller details.
The Great Basin covers most of the state of Nevada but the park is located near the border of Utah. The park encompasses a large range of features from mountains and sagebrush to streams, lakes and limestone caverns called Lehman Caves .
